You are invited to participate in the Alberta Cancer Research Biobank (ACRB), which is operated by Cancer Research and Analytics of Alberta Health Services. A biobank collects biological samples, including blood and tissue so they can be used in medical research. The ACRB collects all types of samples (normal, benign or cancerous) because they are all valuable for research.
The ACRB supports research because it improves our understanding and treatment of cancer and other health conditions. Your participation is completely voluntary and will not affect your medical care in any way. Please discuss this with your doctor, friends or family if you wish, and always feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
