Apply for Biosamples and Data

Our collection of biosamples represents over 40 cancer types from over 23,000 participants. Researchers can apply to the ACRB for access to biological samples and relevant clinical data.

Biosamples  are available in the following formats:

• Blood
  
  • Serum
  • Plasma
  • Buffy Coat
• Tissue snap frozen in liquid nitrogen
• Tissue Formalin Fixed and Paraffin Embedded (FFPE)
  
  • Sections
  • Curls
  • Punches
  • Tissue Microrrays (TMAs)
    
    • Triple Negative Breast Cancer 

Instructions are available in the Biosample Application Form. As a first step, we recommend that investigators contact our Database Administrator to discuss sample selection and availability. A Summary of the Available Biosamples is listed here.

The Application requires these supporting documents: 

• A scientific description of the project
• A copy of the Ethics Protocol and/or Application and Amendments
• A copy of approval from an Ethics Review Board
• Principal Investigator's CV

The Sample Access Committee evaluates the application and approves all that are qualified. Criteria followed in making this determination are available: Biosample Requests and Sample Access Committee Terms of Reference

Samples are provided to the researcher under a fee schedule which is available by Contacting Us.
